Meet the Coaches


Kristina Blais

Coach Kristina Blais is the Director of MBC.
She is a graduate of Central Maine Community College and University of Southern Maine's Business programs. During her two years at CMCC as captain of the women’s basketball team, Kristina led the Mustangs to a 63-3 overall record, and a perfect 36-0 record in the Yankee Conference.  Her teams won two regular season conference championships, two conference tournament championships, and twice competed in the USCAA National Tournament. During her time, she was named All conference, All American, and Academic All American.
Blais is also the owner/operator of Blais Hoops Academy.

Andrew Morong

Coach Morong coaches our high school girls teams.  He is also the head women's basketball coach at Central Maine Community College.
Through nine seasons at CM, Andrew Morong has led the Lady Mustangs to an overall record of 234-44 and a Yankee Conference record of 120-13. During his tenure, CM has seen 18 All-Americans, 13 Academic All-Americans, 19 All-Conference selections, 2 Conference Player of the Year selections, 7 Yankee Conference Tournament MVP's, and most impressively, 30 Academic All-Conference selections.
Morong is a 2004 graduate of Morse High School. After high school Morong attended St. John's University in New York City where he studied Sports Management before transferring back home to the University of Maine.  Morong started coaching career at Morse High School as a varsity assistant coach during the 2005-2006 school year, and was named the Associate Head Coach for the 2007-08 season. Morong spent three years as a girls varsity assistant at Morse before being named the Girls Varsity Basketball Coach at Poland Regional High School where he held that title from 2008-2011.
In 2008 Coach Morong graduated from the University of Maine with a B.A. in Psychology and a Minor in Business.  In August of 2013, Morong earned his Masters Degree in Sports Management from Southern New Hampshire University.  He and his wife, Ambyr, live in Lewiston with their son, Camden.

Karli is a native of Auburn, ME. She graduated from Edward Little HS in 2016. She continued her academic and athletic (basketball) career at Thomas College.

Southern Maine Community College freshman Abi Ramirez, the former Deering High All-Conference standout, was recently named a USCAA honorable mention All-American. Ramirez, who was joined by former Deering teammate Amanda Brett on the Seawolves this winter, also earned a spot on the Yankee Small College Conference first-team.
